Opting a Customer Out of Communications

A step-by-step guide to opting customers out of communications.

  1. Login to the communicator and navigate to the “Search” panel.

    1. This can be found to the right of the page, and it is the 4th tab from the top.

  2. Enter the customer’s information.

    1. Customers can be found in this section via their name, customer number, VIN, or phone number.

  3. Select the correct customer, and navigate to the customer profile.

    1. This is where you will likely find their request to opt out of communications, and where all customer communications can be found

  4. Find and select the “Contact Info” tab to the right of the screen, under the customer’s name.

    1. This is also where you can find and update any necessary customer contact information.

  5. Deselect all requested communication preferences.

    1. From here, they can be removed from texts, calls, printed mail, and emails.

    2. You can also opt them out of appointment reminders, the points system, and mark their vehicle as sold from this screen.

  6. Select “Close” and the customer account will be updated!
